Fashion designers study fashion trends and anticipate designs that will appeal to consumers. By working closely with manufacturers, trade shows, and other designers, a fashion designer creates a prototype of their designer. With their prototype, fashion designers present their ideas to creative directors and established fashion companies in an effort to bring their designs to the consumer market.  Fashion designers are skilled business professionals with the ability to use specific design computer software, negotiate business deals on behalf of their own work, and have the ability to take an idea in their mind and bring it to life.
